My family and I loved Raya and The Last Dragon. This Disney movie is a must-see for the whole family.
Elyssa, Eliana, Elydia and I watched it at home (it’s available on Disney+ with Premier Access – and it’s worth every penny!).
Elisha went to the movie theater (physically distancing and wearing a mask) with our family (best) friend, Trent.
There are definitely a lot of positive lessons we can learn and discuss from watching Raya and The Last Dragon as a family.
And don’t be misled because it was completely produced and animated remotely, because wow…
The animation alone makes Raya and The Last Dragon a masterpiece.
There’s plenty of action and heart in this Disney movie … and lots of girl power!
About Raya and The Last Dragon
Long ago, in the fantasy world of Kumandra, humans and dragons lived together in harmony.
But when a sinister force divide the people and threaten to eliminate human race, the dragons sacrificed themselves to save humanity.
Now, 500 years later, those same monsters have returned and it’s up to a lone warrior, Raya, to track down the legendary last dragon in order to finally bring the divided people and stop the evil for good.
However, along Raya’s journey, she’ll learn that it’ll take more than dragon magic to save the world—it’s going to take trust!
From directors Don Hall and Carlos López Estrada, co-directors Paul Briggs and John Ripa, producers Osnat Shurer and Peter Del Vecho, and featuring the voices of Kelly Marie Tran as Raya and Awkwafina as Sisu.
Walt Disney Animation Studios’ “Raya and the Last Dragon” will debut simultaneously on Disney+ Premier Access and in theatres on March 5, 2021.

“A plague born from human discord. They’ve always been here, waiting for a moment of weakness to attack… They’re like a relentless fire that consumes everything in its wake until there is nothing left except ash and stone.” ~ Sisu (The full quote is spoliery, but it’s just such a good quote even without the middle part!)

“I no longer need a night light.” ~ Sisu (Sisu teaching us to celebrate the small wins!)
“There’s still light in this, there’s still hope.” ~ Chief Benja (I need to make this into a big sign – for those dark, seemingly hopeless days, you know what I mean?)

And the best dialogue line in this Disney movie:
Raya: Yeah, well, the world’s broken. You can’t trust anyone.
