May the 4th is known to Star Wars fans as Star Wars Day. This Star Wars holiday was started by fans as a pun to the wish “May the Force be with you” (May the fourth be with you).
Star Wars fans around the world and throughout the galaxy celebrate Star Wars Day in different ways, creatively showing off their fandom.
This year, I thought I’d compile some ideas for you and celebrate #StarWarsDay with a fun giveaway, courtesy of my friends at UglyChristmasSweater.com!
Here are some ideas to have an epic Star Wars Day!
Lounge at home and watch the entire Star Wars saga: The movies are the most important part of Star Wars Day. Here’s a list of the Star Wars episodes and stories:
The Original Star Wars Trilogy – Episodes IV, V, VI
Star Wars: The Empire Strikes Back
The Star Wars Prequels – Episodes I, II, III
Star Wars: Attack of the Clones
Star Wars: Revenge of the Sith
Star Wars Episodes VII and VIII
Star Wars Stories
These comfy lounge pants from UglyChristmasSweater.com are perfect for the occasion and with today’s gift card giveaway, you can get your own!
I chose the Star Wars Yoda Logo Christmas Lounge Pants, which are really warm and comfy, and feature my favorite character in the Star Wars universe.
I also chose the Star Wars Chewbacca Ships Christmas Lounge Pants, which feature a hilarous 8-bit Star Wars design that features Chewbacca wearing a Santa cap, an X-Wing fighter, the Rebel logo, and some snow flakes.
Play a Star Wars inspired game with your family. We love the Star Wars Han Solo Card Game. It’s really fun to play for the whole family!
And the Hasbro Monopoly Game – SOLO: A Star Wars Story Edition is the best in the Galaxy!
Dress up as your favorite Star Wars character. Whether you do a full costume, cosplay or disneybound, you can have fun paying tribute to your favorite character.
Wearing a Star Wars t-shirt, putting your hair up in two Leia buns, or simply wearing your favorite Star Wars mouse ears is enough to make a statement!
Make Star Wars themed food. My daughters made me Star Wars cakes for my birthday and we have a Death Star cookie jar in our home, but you don’t have to get all fancy.
You can either use Star Wars themed housewares to serve regular food and decorate the place, or make simple snacks like lightsabers with carrots and celery. I am sure you are more creative than I am at this!
Have a lightsaber fight! This lightsaber is super affordable, but you can also make your own using pool noodles!
How To Make A Lightsaber Using Pool Noodles
You can have a fun time making lightsabers for the family (and with the family) in about 15 minutes and simple supplies: pool noodles, silver duct tape, and black electrical tape.
First, you will cut your pool noodles in half with a knife. You can do this as the children watch or before you start the fun.
You can all wrap a noodle from the bottom and cover about a quarter of it using the silver duct tape.
You will use the black electrical tape to wrap around the top edge of the silver tape and then stick two more pieces to the bottom of the tape.
My daughters will be having a noodle lightsaber fight for sure and they also love playing with their Star Wars Nerf Han Solo Blasters.
Enjoy your Star Wars Day celebration and May the 4th be with you!
