If you’re like most moms, you are constantly juggling a million things at once. I know what that’s like. It can be hard to find time for yourself, let alone time to focus on your own needs.
But it is important to take some time each day to focus on yourself and your goals. I call this “being on-purpose” and it’s one of the qualities of a Positive MOM. One great way to do this is through journaling. In this blog post, we will discuss how manifesting through journaling can help you achieve your goals and give your life purpose, direction, and meaning.
I don’t believe there’s such a thing as living your best life or being your best self, but I do believe that there are different ways to take your mind and your life to the next level in a way that is fulfilling and brings joy and grace.
What is manifesting?
Manifesting is the process of creating something from nothing. It is the ability to create your own reality by focusing on what you want and picturing it in your mind. Manifesting is a powerful tool that can help you achieve your potential as a daughter of God and connect with your higher self (or divine self).
As a mom, manifesting can be a great way to see the results you want to see in your reality in all areas of your life and for your family. By focusing on what you want and picturing it in your mind, you can create a reality where those things are already yours.
Manifestation is a great tool because it’s a form of prayer. This can be helpful when you are trying to manifest money or other resources for your family, but the manifestation process goes beyond that.
Understanding the laws of attraction
Before we dive into these, it’s important to point out that this concept is connected to the Bible in a powerful way. Many followers of Jesus Christ, such as myself have seen the Law of Attraction work in their lives, not instead of the Word of God, but by using powerful manifestation techniques that align with it.
1: Similar things are attracted to each other
We’ve all heard the phrase “Laws of Attraction” before, but what does it really mean? At its core, the law of attraction is a principle that states that similar things are attracted to each other and will form connections.
As moms, we can use this knowledge to foster meaningful connections between our children and build effective relationships with other parents or teachers.
By understanding the different positive and negative forces that shape interactions between people and things, we can strengthen our natural ability to create harmony in our lives.
2: Nature dislikes a vacuum — so fill it with a positive mindset
As the adage goes, “Nature abhors a vacuum.” This means that nature will fill any void in its environment with something.
This is especially true when it comes to our mindsets and outlooks on life. If we focus on negative thoughts and emotions, those same feelings and thoughts will come back to us in the form of our reality.
However, if we focus on positive thoughts and emotions, the same will come back to us in the form of abundance and joy. This doesn’t mean that we deny, dismiss, or downplay our pain – it just means we use tools and strategies to process our unpleasant and uncomfortable emotions and to allow room for positive things and the so-called positive emotions in our lives.
3: Accept yourself and dream for the future
The third law of attraction is accepting yourself and having a dream for the future. This means that in order to manifest our desires, we must accept ourselves as we are.
Having a clear vision of what you want in life will help you stay focused on achieving your long-term goals. By focusing on what you want and believing that it is possible, you are more likely to manifest your desires. Belief, or in other words, faith, is the key to successful manifestation.
How to manifest journal
Now that you understand the laws of attraction and how to apply them in your life, let’s talk about manifestation journaling for moms.
Journaling is a great way to focus on what you want in life and capture all of your thoughts and feelings about it. Writing daily journal entries is not only a great practice to improve and maintain optimal mental health, but it can also be used as a tool to help you stay focused on achieving your life goals.
When journaling, focus on writing down your desires and visualizing yourself as having achieved them.
It’s definitely helpful to write in the present tense — as if those things have already happened or are currently happening in the present moment. Be sure to include details such as where you are, what it looks like, who is with you, how it feels to the senses, etc. This helps to create a powerful visualization of your desired outcome.
For example, if in your ideal life you have a new job, great physical health, a new home, and a fulfilling personal life, then you would add these to your journal entry by saying “I am happy and grateful now that I am enjoying…” and then describe those things in detail.
Many people like to say “write what your life would look like if you waved a magic wand,” but let’s remember that this is not magic, it happens through the power of our subconscious mind. And God is the creator of our bodies and our minds, and everything that exists around us and in the vast universe.
Finally, remember to be patient with yourself and trust the process.
Manifesting can take time, but with patience and focus, you can manifest almost anything you desire into your life — whether it’s relationships, career success, financial freedom, and anything that you can see your future self enjoying.
Your manifestation list should include not only how to manifest things. Your journaling practice should also include how you are being: more compassionate, more generous, more aligned with the Will of God, showing more integrity, etc. You can think about new skills you possess, talents you’ve developed, and qualities that reflect a growth mindset and a loving heart.
Manifestation journal ideas and tips
Just like with everything else, there’s a right way and a wrong way to work on your manifesting journal. Let’s examine some tips!
1-Use manifestation journal prompts
You can use journal prompts to focus your thoughts, rather than just writing random thoughts that will move you off track.
Here is some sample prompts to get you started:
- Answer the question “What would my life look like if I had achieved all of my goals and dreams?”
- Describe how you can make small changes today that will lead me closer to achieving your dreams.
- List the first step you need to take toward making your dreams come true
- Write what you could let go of to make room for new opportunities
2-Write a vivid vision of what you would love
Visualization is key when it comes to manifestation. That’s why a vision board works! Writing a vivid vision of what you would love to manifest and picturing yourself living that reality can help make it come true.
Think about how you feel in your dream life, the people you are surrounded by, and the things that bring you joy. When you not only write what you would love but also visualize how you feel in your manifestation practice, you create the vibrational energy that will attract what you want.
3-Be specific and clear with your manifestations
The more specific and clear you are when writing down your desires, the better chance you have of manifesting them.
Remember to focus on one thing at a time and be as detailed as possible about what it is that you want. “Dream job” is vague, but when you describe the job title, the company where you work, the exact salary and benefits package you want, and what your team dynamic looks like, then you can certainly get closer to what you want.
4- Write positive affirmations
Affirmations are positive statements that help to instill a sense of confidence and belief in yourself, to override the intrusive thoughts that cause limiting beliefs. Writing down affirmations for yourself can help you stay fueled and focused on achieving your goals.
5- Make a list of your BOLD goals
I created the concept of BOLD goals rather than the typical SMART goals. These are:
B is for “beyond your circumstances,” so you aim higher, tapping into what God has planned for you, to prosper you and give you a future.
O is for “outside of your comfort zone,” which will require you to stretch yourself to grow.
L is for “love-centered,” because you’ll go for what you would love, rather than run from what you fear.
D is for “designed for daily progress,” so you are creating your daily life, celebrating your intentional actions with joy in the journey.
6- Write what you’re grateful for
Gratitude is a powerful tool for manifesting and it can be integrated into your daily journaling. Every day, write down at least three things that you’re grateful for in your journal — no matter how small — to create positive energy and appreciation for what you have.
Many people have a separate gratitude journal, but you can simply add your gratitude list as a daily gratitude practice.
7- Write what you forgive yourself and others
It may sound surprising, but forgiveness is an important factor and an essential part of manifesting.
Writing down what you forgive yourself and other people for can help release negative energy that blocks you, allowing your manifestation journey to be substantially easier.
How do you use a manifestation journal?
Manifestation journals are a great way to help us focus on our goals and create a positive mindset throughout the day.
Many people begin their day by writing down a few goals, stating affirmations, and reflecting on successes they may have had the previous day. You don’t necessarily need a guided journal, and although it can be helpful, any blank page in an old notebook will do.
Your manifesting journaling can be done at any time of the day but I recommend:
1-Starting in the morning since it sets your mindset for the entire day.
2- Manifesting your intentions just before going to sleep. In this state of REM sleep, our subconscious is extremely powerful and more likely to take in positive suggestions that we write down in the manifestation journal.
Furthermore, writing down intentions often before bed can help us feel more relaxed and reduce anxiety as we lay our heads down for restful sleep. Consistency with any practice is key so be sure to set aside a little bit of time every night or morning to write up an affirmation or two.
Taking note of your intentions on a daily basis is the best way to start seeing progress toward manifesting success!
As you can see, there is great power in the written word to unlock personal growth and effect positive actions. The Bible tells us that the world was created through words, and with God, everything is possible.
