Last year, I taught a members-only 90 minute virtual class for the Women Speakers’ Association called “Get Your Message Out By Implementing a Killer Blog Strategy.” It was a really fun experience because I love blogging, I’m quite a blogging advocate, and content strategy is such a big part of what I do as a mompreneur.
Blogging works when you work it — and when you apply my 3 R’s of Social Content Strategy, the foundation behind my 7 Step Blog Marketing Plan:
- RESULTS ~ The outcomes you expect as a result of blogging.
- ROADMAP ~ How you will get from where you are to where you want to go.
- ROI ~ How you will measure success.
It is simple; however, our roadmap is made up of many steps that we need to remember to follow often, sometimes on a daily basis. Yesterday, at the Homeschool Book Fair in Arlington, just about 30 minutes from where I live, I found probably THE best kept secret in the blogosphere: My Blog Plan.
After many years as a blogging instructor, having printed more made-up editorial calendar planning pages than I’d care to admit, meeting Becky [@wellplannedgal] and receiving My Blog Plan was an answer to prayers.
As you can see above, My Blog Plan offers a pretty design, yet professional and not overwhelmingly cutesy. The18-month planner runs from July 2014 to December 2015 and has 376 full color pages (which would be a lot of ink – and money – to print out, plus the binding!). It retails at $19.95, which is about $1.11 a month – my kind of pricing.
The Post Ideas pages are great because we blogger ladies get a good share of those hehe. I was also impressed with the tips, articles, and how-to guides it contains: from SEO tactics, review and giveaway planning, to media exposure techniques and monetization. You can peek inside HERE.
As a marketer, I’m in love with My Blog Plan because of the empowering opportunity to track, evaluate, and measure your IMPACT, your INFLUENCE, and your INCOME, which is an essential feature for serious bloggers, whether seasoned or beginners.
WOW! So much value in a small package (you can fit it in your computer bag). I am happy to share My Blog Plan with you, and excited to recommend it to my coaching clients. Are you ready to gain laser Focus, Purpose, and Clarity in your blogging strategy?

although I keep most records electronic, I wouldn't mind using this book. There's still something relaxing about writing and not just typing all the time. good suggestion!
