My third-grader son was just reading "The Chocolate Touch" by Patrick Skene Catling. As I read what the book was about, I became very curious, to the point that I ended up reading the book in a breeze. The book is about a boy who loves chocolate so much, that he cannot think of anything else all day, and refuses to eat anything other than chocolate. Of course the parents are having a hard time getting him to eat nutritious food. One day something strange happened, everything that this boy was touching with his mouth was turning into chocolate... It's a great book and it teaches kids about greed and gluttony, most importantly, to eat healthy foods and not so much sweets. I deal with this everyday with my younger son, he loves sweets, and getting him to eat healthy is our daily battle. Overall, I recomend this book for young readers but also for parents to read it to the little ones.
