As a Caribbean island native, I love coconuts and I especially love coconut water. Not all “young Thai coconuts” come from Thailand. 🙂 In my home country, the Dominican Republic, you can just pick young coconuts wherever you may be, and when you buy them, they are so inexpensive because they’re everywhere!
When I gave birth to my little pigeon (I can’t believe it’s been almost a year!), we had a hypnobirth and I refused to have medication or an IV. I kept hydrated by drinking almond milk and coconut water, and it was amazing. I’ve had all 3 natural, pain-med free births, but this last one was the best yet!
Coconut water is a water-like liquid inside of the coconut fruit. Coconut water is really refreshing, and it contains numerous vitamins and minerals, and other nutrients, including electrolytes.
What Are The Benefits of Coconut Water For Women?
- Research shows that drinking coconut water and applying coconut water onto affected skin areas every night before going to bed may help with acne, age spots, wrinkles, stretch marks, cellulite, and eczema. That sounds so good! 🙂
- Coconut water has vitamins, minerals, and other nutrients, which results in a boost of energy. It is much better than any sports drink or energy drink on the market – and no caffeine or side effects! I love that it is safe for breastfeeding moms like me, and even pregnant women.
- Drinking coconut water on a regular basis can help with cardiovascular health, blood pressure, and HDL (or good cholesterol).
- Coconut water helps hydrate the body or avoid, cure dehydration. It also helps with common digestive problems when you drink it twice daily.
- Coconut water is low on calories, and it is a natural electrolyte and isotonic, which means that it increases the body’s metabolism. If you are working on a weight loss goal, drink coconut water during your workout and you’ll start seeing the difference!

Coco Jack does not fill its orders. Have been waiting for 16 weeks. Meanwhile they have deposited my payment, but only sent me half of what I ordered directly from them. Meanwhile Amazon has removed its listing. Last night there were 10 complaints by people who had waited for many months and had received nothing.

how neat! i so badly need this tool. We love making buko pandan - a Filipino snack made of fresh young coocnut with gelatin and nata de coco. It's a mess in my kitchen every time I open with the all-important juice spilling all over.
thanks Elayna for sharing

This is awesome! We are a Filipino family and so we love to buy coconuts. I always get scared because my mom using a fat knife and I always think she's going to eventually cut off her fingers or something because they are so hard to open sometimes. This is a FANTASTIC tool! I'm definitely going to buy this for my parents! Thanks for sharing!

Living in Montreal means that we can get coconut maybe 2 times in the summer. But we love it when we do. So refreshing.
